Hi.
I have given Ubuntu a good 3-4 weeks try and I really don't get on well with it. I have had tons of problems which I have spent days trying to fix with no luck.
I have tried 6.10 and 7.04 but Beryl is incredibly slow on my very high spec laptop, it keeps doing a mount check when I start Ubuntu which takes absolutely ages, I can't install my Printer drivers, etc, etc.
Anyway, I am dual-booting XP and Ubuntu at the moment and have the following partition's setup:
NTFS (Windows)
EXT3 (Shared data between Windows and Ubuntu using FS-Disk)
EXT3 (Ubuntu)
Linux Swap
and another Dell partition for mediadirect.
I would really like to remove all the EXT3 and Linux swap partitions and have one big NTFS partition for Vista, which I am going to try out.
What is the best way to do this? I have Gparted on Ubuntu but all the partitions have a padlock icon next to them and I cannot resize them.
Thanks.
