I need help choosing a new Monitor and Video card, currently using a GTX 680 and would like a monitor that's no bigger than 28" spending £1100 at most, will be using it to play games on PC/Xbox, and for watching Netflix/YouTube :D

Im a tech noob so not sure if my PC specs matter but I've got an I5 processor 1000 Watt power supply, 16gb memory & an Asus mATX motherboard.

ty, Abe

First it's best to establish what resolution you want to game at? Is the GTX 680 the 2GB or 4GB variant? If it's the two and you want to remain gaming on it you'll most likely need to go for 1080p. Although also depends on the types of games you use?

I think its the 2GB version (but looking for a recommendation for a new card along with the new monitor), I have no clue about resolution. as for games I play a bit of everything probably mostly RPG's & FPS on the PC (& pretty much whatever my friends tell me to get on the Xbox1 :p) would like to have the Xbox1 conne4cted to the monitor at the same time without having to change wires all the time (sorry as I said Im a bit of a noob)

(sorry as I said Im a bit of a noob)
dont worry your not the only one (thats the main reason I love this place, theirs always someone who knows what their talking about willing to help). :)

I had a similar topic to this a few weeks back, & I was reccomended the following;
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 980 WindForce 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £461.99
Asus PB278QR 27" Professional LED Multimedia Monitor - Black £399.95

like i said im a noob too so not sure if this will be any use to you, but thought id throw it up their anyway :)

thanks, anyone got any other recommendations?

(also is it worth getting the GTX 980 G1 or just the GTX 980)
