Hi OcUK

Ive been wanting to upgrade my PC for a while now and with black friday approaching, i need to get some opinions of what department to spend my money in.

The important parts of my setup are

P8Z77 Deluxe 1155
Intel i5 3570k
32gb 2400 DDR3
GTX780 OC edition
Asus ROG Swift 1440p 144hz

I have a 120gb SSD already but ive just brought 2 matching 250gb samsung SSDs and im planning to set up a RAID-0 with them.

My games have been stuttering slightly recently and i was planning to get a 980ti to replace my 780 but ive noticed on task manager and speccy my cpu is at 100% when im gaming and now i dont know whether its time for a new cpu.

My only optoins here are to get a i7 3770k on my mobo, but i dont think the gains would be worth it. Get a new mobo and cpu altogether, or maybe my cpu isnt the problem and the 780 and slight lack of vram is.

Any thoughts or ideas are welcome

Thanks

Overclock the cpu if it isn't already and a 980ti would be my move. I wouldn't be replacing a 3570k for a good while yet. I wouldn't have bothered raiding ssd's. How much faster than lightning fast can anybody notice apart from in benchmarks? I would have gone for a single 500Gb or even a 1TB ssd instead.

The CPU is at 4.4ghz, or that what asus' pc suite tells me.

The SSDs i picked up dirt cheap so i couldn't turn them down, and raid is really the only thing ive never tried before, its a want more than a need.

The 980ti is what im swaying to but with the announcement of the new pascal gpu's reaching us in the first half of 2016, wouldn't the prices drop to make way for them?

Regarding price drops, the GTX 700 series didn't really drop when the GTX 900 series launched and it wasn't until recently that Gibbo did a deal where you could get a GTX 780 for around £200-240. Keep a eye out for OCUK's Black Friday deals as there are supposedly some very good gpu deals coming up.
