help urgently needed.

went from a dell 2005fpw to a samsung 913n moniotr and i'm having problems with the settings. it seems far too contrasty, the main problem seems to be on 2d gfx and texts... is it a driver problem, there upto date. moniotr seems sharp colours are all wrong, had a fiddle with colour software etc but i'm baffled, might even send this back.

please please help me.

it may be my card because i'm using the vga port as apposed to the dvi on the dell. might try anouther cable, failing that i'll send the samsung back.
