help urgently needed.

went from a dell 2005fpw to a samsung 913n moniotr and i'm having problems with the settings. it seems far too contrasty, the main problem seems to be on 2d gfx and texts... is it a driver problem, there upto date. moniotr seems sharp colours are all wrong, had a fiddle with colour software etc but i'm baffled, might even send this back.

please please help me.

I'm not certain on this Apatche64, but I believe some graphic cards are better than others at 2D and text output. I have no definite info on this but remember reading sometime back in a review of cards that while they were giving excellent images on 3D work, 2D and text were not as good as others in the review. This might be your problem, hope others can advise you as it might be a matter of a conflict with the monitor and your particular card.

it may be my card because i'm using the vga port as apposed to the dvi on the dell. might try anouther cable, failing that i'll send the samsung back.
