Help - Western digital 250 GB & windows 2000

Hi

I have just purchased a 250GB Western Digital Hardrive and am having troubles trying to get my windows 2000 system recognising it as such, rather than 128GB. Have tried booting off a Windows 98 disk and tried using fdisk to see if it recognised the drive correctly but seems to see it as even less.

Any idea's guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Service packs or run tiny file on maxtor site (big drive enabler) but im sure its only for xpsp1 and sp2, try win 2003 sp1, 2000 is a dinsosaur now sorry.

Good call amdnv, just tried the Maxtor download and it works fine, many thanks Mike.

Still use Windows 2000 as it doesn't carry the baggage that XP does!
