hi guys this is my first post here so sorry if there is any mistakes.

my current pc is
intel i5 3570k cpu
asrock z77 pro3 mobo
2x4gb g.skill ripjaws ram
2x 120gb macbook hdd's in raid 0
1x 1.5tb hdd
radeon hd 6450 gpu
cit Jupiter case,

i recently started to get right in to my pc gaming but the hd6450 just doesnt cut the mustard. i get paid soon and im looking to buy a new gpu but im not sure which one to get?
im wanting to spend £150 max but preferably a bit less, also it has to be a amd gpu because that's what my mobo supports "correct me if im wrong," also do you guys think i should bother getting a better cpu cooler or just stick with the stock?
thanks nathan.

A motherboard generally doesn't support just one or the other but for that price range AMD will probably be the best. For that price range you could probably get a 7850 or possibly 270x but that's pushing your budget. Other than that there's the 260x but id prefer to get the 270x out of them tbh. Much better performance for the price.

thanks guys. that looks like a really good gpu. sorry i forgot about the psu, its a 600 watt sumvision power x3. do you think that is ok for my rig with the HIS Radeon R9 270X IceQ BOOST and cpu cooler added?

Buy the 270X, and get the PSU linked above. You could sell the game code you get to recoup some of the loss off getting the PSU.
