Hiya,

I'm so stupid. Please help me. I'm getting this MOBO;

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/msi-b450-tomahawk-max-socket-am4-ddr4-atx-motherboard-mb-33t-ms.html#

If price isn't an option which RAM would be better for gaming FPS;

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/team...3200mhz-dual-channel-kit-black-my-08l-tg.html

or

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/team...3200mhz-dual-channel-kit-black-my-08l-tg.html

And why ? The first one is 3600 CAS 18, the second one is 3200 CAS 14 but says it'll overclock to 3600?

And my MOBO says on the suppliers website;

Supports DDR4 Memory, up to 4133(OC) MHz

The links are the same.

But, if you are talking about the 8 pack 3200 vs the 8 pack 3600, they are both exactly the same ram, from the same bin... just one has 3200 XMP and the other has 3600 XMP.

Personally I would go for this

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/patr...dual-channel-kit-pvs416g440c9k-my-103-pa.html

run it 1/1 with the highest infinity fabric your cpu will go to and dial down the timings to the lowest you can get.

And pray that the head-spreader does not fall off one day :p

Heard a few cases of this that put me off them. But at that price considering prices went up I would go for that also.

Don’t need to be smart. Just keep it at 1900 or under. If memory is 3200, IF has to be 1600. If memory is 3600, IF has to be 1800. Notice the correlation? Always half.

My memory is 3733 so my IF is 1866. Some push to 3800 and 1900 but I did not want to push to the bleeding edge. I always like to leave a bit of breathing room.
