Help with £500 build (excluding GPU) please

Hello there, i have a friend why wants to build a gaming computer with the budget of £500, i already have a MSI 7950 for him so the GPU is not a problem, but can anyone recommend a build that might fit this budget for him? and games he wants to play are fair new games but he knows it wont be ultra setting battlefield 1 for example.

you may be able to get better performance investing into a better graphics card for a build in this budget.

Also do you need to include monitor etc in the price?

The 7950 is still a cpabable gpu and i would reuse if gaming at 1080p.

is it a build from scratch or does he have a few things already?

they are not very fussy so we can probably get some cheap ones or im pretty sure i have my old microsoft one in a cupboard somewhere that he can have

then i would probably go with micky's suggestions and also look for a decent monitor
maybe get a second hand one if its a good price
