So I set it all up and it works, but because of the length of the crossfire bridge I have to have the cards in slots 1 and 2 on my Crosshair IV Formula. This gives x16 and x8 but isn't too much of an issue. The main issue is the heat, placing cards next to each other means one of my cards is hitting very high temps due to lack of airflow.

Are there any workarounds? I've posted in the MM asking for a 10cm bridge, but wondered if anyone else had the same problem with a different solution?

Thanks

Had exactly the same issue on my board (not the same as yours).

I ended up sticking a 120mm fan blowing in the direction of the card that can't get enough air, seemed to help slightly.

Well I ran the Mafia 2 bench and could hear the fan constantly spinning up higher as time went on. It peaked at 72C I think, whereas running with a single card the temp peaks at 49C.

The second card runs a degree or two higher when it's on its own (compared to the one it's blocking) but I cannot get a temp reading from it when in crossfire for some reason. Don't know if this is normal?

I have a side fan on the case which blows directly onto the GPU's and had this running on full at the time
