Help with a gym plan?

Hey guys,
I know there are loads of posts about joining the gym etc but I really haven’t got a clue on what I’m doing. I’m 22 and just come out of Education into full time work. While I was at University I played football 4 times a week so kept myself pretty fit but now I’m working I’m only going to be playing once a week so my plan is to go to the gym between 2 and 3 times a week as well. My aim is basically to increase my stamina for football but also to increase my strength as well. I’m not too fussed about increasing my size however. At the moment I’m 6ft and weigh about 11 stone.
At the moment I’m also slightly restricted as I have a torn knee cartilage. My physio has told me any cardio exercise is fine except running and that I can do weights except on my legs.
So with all that in mind can you spec me an exercise plan?
