Hello all, I think I am ready to downsize my rig into a microATX one as my HAF-X is a monster in size and i'd like a sleek MicroATX rig really. I have heard how good the bitfenix prodigy is for a very long time now but i've heard some people say dont believe the hype, there are newer and better cases out there now so I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions or recommendations? it would be greatly appreciated, thank you :)

Nothing wrong with a Prodigy, or phenom and ColossusM for that matter.

Yeah I swapped out of a CM 690 II and into Prodigy. Love it and even picked up a nice big spectre for the front.

However make sure you get some sort of fan controller if you wish to run more than 1 fan as most Mini ITX boards only have 1 chassis fan connection.

Silverstone TJ08-E is still one of the best mATX cases out there.
It won't break the bank either.

Superb cable management.
Takes big coolers and easy to build a high end watercooling loop into it.
Compact and Stealthy, none of this garish crap.
Most of these new cases look like they were designed by 12 year olds.

+1 for the Temjin TJ08E

Again I would echo the above. Was one of the easiest builds I have done!

Silverstone fortress ft03
I have this.. Very nice case and can hide cables quiet well
Is tall but takes very little table/floor space, as you can see it is a lot smaller than my mouse mat

MATX choice would be...

corsiar 350D (my personal rig that is almost complete)
Silverstone TJ08-e

I would add the parvum S2.0 (Soon to be released if not already) however not having dust filters puts me off it slightly. Other than that it is a stunning case with a great team behind it.

Silverstone TJ08B-E or Fractal ARC Mini R2, both available with windows, the Silverstone is a great little aircooled case, the Fractal suitable for some serious watercooling too.

Problem with Prodigy is its cramped inside in matx, one i would go for is the 350D :)

Completely. The airflow is all messed up, no way to put radiators in. Can't use the bottom GFX bay if you want to use a ODD. It would have been much better if they just made the micro atx version of the prodigy just a bit bigger with the same internal design
