Hi, My Power Supply just blew and I'm not sure what kind I should get.

Firstly, I have already checked all the other hardware from the computer with a PSU from one of the power supplies from another computer in the house.
I was in the middle of a Lan game of Dead Island and all of a sudden my PSU blew, heard a loud POP! and my PC was down. I took it apart made sure everything was clean and there were no visual burns on any of the hardware or the like, the I took my dad's PSU and connected my pc to it and everything ran fine.
so all in all my PSU is dead but all else if good, yay me.

My computer is using a
M5a78l-M LX Motherboard
AMD Athlon II x3 445 3.1ghz processor
2x 4gb DDR3 Ram
AMD Radeon HD 5750 1gb GDDR5 graphics card
500gb Harddrive Seagate Baarracude 7200rpm
Random Akasa cpu cooler cost me about £20 nothing special
A really old DVD drive, only used it once to install windows 7
2x 80mm case fans Akasa
for usb peripherals I use a bog standard keyboard, Razer Naga gaming mouse,
Blekin n52te speedpad and a pair of windows headphones.
Thanks in advanced :)

P.S. Money's sorta tight atm my Max would be about £100 but I would prefer it if I could get one somewhere nearer the £50 mark.

Hi and welcome to the forums. :)

This 450w XFX at £40 would be more than enough for your rig. It's a quality unit built by Seasonic. The only thing is that it's not modular so all the cables are attached.

If you want modular (only plug the cables in that are needed) then you will have to pay more and go for one of the ones Doomedspeed posted above or something like the Antec High Current Gamer M520w at £60.
