im planning on building a new PC over the next few weeks,

i need basically the full tower unit, and i also need an operating system..

i want to be able to play some decent games, browse internet, a few office based programs etc.

would be nice if i can get something with HDMI so i can plug it in to my tv..

looking to spend around £550-£600 for the unit and operating system

URgh just realised i forgot the OS
If you can stretch another £65 get windows 7 home premium if not then try the windows 7 RC and get Windows 7 HP as soon as you have the cash.

The psu is modular so you can detach any cables you DONT need plus ti s700w so will alst you for years to come! dont skimp on the PSU!

not really no, pretty much all cards nowadays use DVI, which is HDMI without audio, you can just adapter, or get one with HDMI, loads of choice either way
 
windows 7 is being highly recommended everywhere and after using the RC im happy I preordered mine 2 1/2 months ago lol
will go up in price on 22nd october
