Hi all,

I will looking for some insight into a problem I am having with my pc.

There are 2 manifestations of the problem, the first is that when I connect to my work VPN and try remote desktop I get an error saying it can't find my work pc however I can ping my work machine fine from power shell. The remote connection also works from my second home machine. I did a clean install of Windows a few weeks ago and the remote connection was fine however this week it isn't.

The second is that the Corsair icue software says that there is a firmware update for my mouse or keyboard but fails to install it. Before I reinstalled Windows it was doing this with my mouse where I would click to install the firmware and the mouse would disappear from the software and I would get an error message. This time there is a firmware update for my keyboard and I get the same behaviour.

I am a little reluctant to reinstall windows again because of the time it takes.

Any pointers would be great.

Thanks

Just to close this out, I tried a clean boot and it still didn't work. I then tried safe mode with networking and the firmware update worked. I figured it was a driver problem and thought that I would start with the killer network driver. I uninstalled all the devices in device manager and uninstalled any related software then installed to latest one on the gigabyte website and now everything works.
