its worth overclocking, as you will get ALL cores going at 3.6-3.9Ghz easily

post up on here and users should get you at 3.8Ghz easily :)
 
Has to shave some money off the budget

Would this be fairly comparable, do what I need and play games like Fortnite Battle Royale at 1080p?

I would go with the R5 1600 and stock cooler, and then put the savings towards a better motherboard such as the Asus B350-F Strix and better quality psu. The Corsair CX (Grey label) is a decent budget unit.

Change board for this one- Same quality as the ATX Gaming 3 which is recommend along with the Strix b350 as being one of the best budget boards for Ryzen- either these two or you go to the other end of the ship with flagship ROG Hero or ASRock Taichi which is out of your budget - AMD not the best at milking money so left vendors in a bit of a limbo as lower end boards can just be as good as flagships lol

its a shame, last week before Wednesday would have saved a good £40 on the ram and Gaming 3 ATX wasnt out of stock lol
