Hi all just wondering if I could ask for some advise im on a tight budget no more that £400 and thinking of picking up the OVERCLOCKED* AMD Phenom II X3 Tri Core bundle from ocUK

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-002-OB&groupid=701&catid=339&subcat=

and was thinking of getting another 4gb memory to go with it what I want to know is

a) is it worth picking up the extra 4gb

b) if I do pick up the extra 4gb should I not buy the bundle as I know the extra memory will affect the Oc and just pick up the components separatly.

Thanks

What other components are you buying/need on top of the bundle? (As you've stated you're on a tight budget you def don't need the extra 4gig)

If you need a gfx card, HDD, case etc to go with the bundle - you would be better served spending the £65 on a better gfx card, case or another HDD.

EDIT: List your complete spec and you may get some better options suggested for your money...

Thanks for the response I should apologise and say the £400 was just for the motherboard, processor, ram and cooling the other bits are all ready taken care of I already have the following

ATI 4890 GFX 1gb
coolermaster HAF 932 case
coolermaster real power 620 power supply

HDD's 2x 400gb WD'S will use my existing ones as they are only a couple of months old

Nice spec and no need to apologise.

Personally, and others might disagree, i would spend some of the £65 on a better third party cooler for the cpu as it would give you better clocking potential and keep your cpu nice and frosty even if you're planning on leaving it at stock speeds - this is a good one link

You can always buy the extra 4gig when it's needed - and prices will certainly have dropped by then.
