Hello everyone,

I have both an android tablet and phone, and also an iPod touch (but the iTouch isn't as important for this streaming, although it would be nice haha)

And I have a Harman/Kardon Soundsticks set connected to my PC. I hate having to unplug the speakers from my pc and connect to my tablet just when I want to quickly play some music.. So I was wondering if there was a way to stream the music to my pc from my phone and tablet or mount the speakers as a bluetooth or wifi device?

Basically, I want a fairly simple way to make the music from my phone/tablet play through the speakers connected to my PC, wirelessly. Bluetooth or WiFi doesn't matter.

If it comes to it, I will just get a Logitech Bluetooth audio box thing and connect all my devices to it but that costs like £30 and I am always open to experimenting beforehand :)

Oh, and I have a bluetooth USB stick in my PC so the PC does have bluetooth :)

Thanks in advance,
Cam.

I'd stream the music from Tablet over bluetooth.

While I'm sure that it is technically possible to connect your devices to your Computer's Bluetooth I would wager decent money that you will never get it working without a hitch.

Therefore I'd buy the following:
1) Bluetooth audio reciever (many, many options, all pretty much the same) - possibly would be beneficial to find one with a USB power supply.
2) http://www.amazon.com/CablesToBuy-3-5mm-STEREO-FEMALE-Y-CABLE/dp/B001CQLFEQ

For the iPod touch you could easily use Airfoil and install the Airfoil speaker app on your PC to stream that way. Not sure about Android however!

Hmm ok.. I do like the idea of bluetooth streaming, would be nice and easy. However, just to be cheeky, is there a wifi solution that is similar to the bluetooth one? Like the Sono's system's use. That is where my inspiration is from ;)

I think it's amazing. I have tried VLC Direct and Foobar controller but they are so slow at doing anything, I don't like it :( I think bluetooth is going to have to be it....

Any other thoughts guys?

Cheers,
Cam.
