Hi there, I'm so used to WP8 that this Android is feeling rather confusing.

My mums Xperia sk70i keeps saying it has no space at all left on the phone, which it doesn't.

I bought a 16gb SD card to help solve the problem and it seems it has installed apps on that card now. Sadly old apps are still on the main phone memory.

How do I go about backing up everything that's on the phone to my computer and doing a factory reset, setting the phone to install everything to the SD card and saving her contacts etc. I've backed up contacts onto the memory card so far.

I've backed up my GFs android phone but that was doing all that rooting/flashing crap which apparently I can't do on this as the bootloader is locked.

Cheers.

Bootloader is locked on my phone also but was still able to root it, then use Titanium backup to do as you describe. Root the phone then check out Titanium backup. I'm sure some of the other members will be able to elaborate...

Is there no option to move the apps to the SD card when you check under settings -> apps and then under the apps you want to move?

Move her contacts to her Google account instead of the SD card, that way it will automatically sync her contacts to any device connected to her Google account.

There is a way to root Sony phones with a locked bootloader by the way, I had to do this for my Xperia PLAY. Flashtool can help root the phone as well as flash the stock Sony ROM (if you accidently brick it or want a full factory reset), even with the locked bootloader: http://androxyde.github.io/index.html?1375317483000

Then once you've rooted it, use Link2SD to force move some of the apps to the SD card if they don't naturally allow it.

EDIT: Exactly what phone is it? Googling around and I can't fine exactly what phone the SK70i is.

Cheers. I've managed to root it using Eroot eventually anyway. Had to delete some stuff off the phone for it to do it.

Checked using terminal user and apps are getting super user so that seems to have worked.

Currently trying to use Link2Sd to move apps over but stuck at trying to partition the memory card. Downloading a program to do that for now.

Discovered a retarded design of WP8 too. Downloaded Android SDK to the phone but being a .rar file I have no way of seeing the file on the phone/computer and can't delete it! Way to go Microsoft!
