Hey i have just brought a imac with bootcamp and everything already loaded on but it automaticaly boots on to windows xp. How Do i load OSX off a normal non mac keybaord at the start. Thanks
there should be an option to choose which os you are after using when the computer starts up.
check bootcamp faq on apples site.
btw when you find out what was wrong, could you post it on here how you sorted it, only im installing it in two weeks so id appreciate the heads up lol,
sorry couldnt be more helpful, as i say, havent as of yet used it
In windows go to control panel and click on something called Startup Disk (I think), then select Mac OSX and click ok. Now restart and it should go into OSX straight away.
I also thought I could not switch between the OS' but I was holding down the wrong button on start up (idiot huh!) make sure you hold down the Option button (Alt button), I was holding down the command (Apple) button
If you have the FrontRow remote just hold down the Menu button while booting and then you can select OS with the remote. Or if you boot into XP, there is a bootcamp option in Control panel and you can chose your startup disk. Change this to the OSX partition and it should load this on next reboot.
