Help with bsod and crashing ( possible ssd fault )

Hi, please can anyone advise me on the random bsod and system hangs/crashes ,
I have z77v asus with latest bios, i5 3570k , 8gb geil ram, xfx 650 psu all at stock speeds, Iv only just upgraded the board and ssd but after install I get bsod randomly on load or idle but normally when apps or files running ie drivers unpacking or using explorer, it often hangs with the whirling icon then after 2-3 mins comes back and works fine or bsod error f4, I ran memtest for 7 hours with 0 hours and prime for 4 hours both at stock speed so can probably rule out them, iv had this ssd in another system and similar faults but sometimes error 7a on the bsod, I am using the 2.2 fw from ocz and latest intel irst or default windows driver with same results. I'm looking for advice to rule out/narrow down components and what to do next iv tried the intel 6gb sata ports and the as media also
Pls help as it never bsod before upgrade on raptor hdd

Narrowing down your components is key so you will need to go through process of elimination until you find the culprit.

My Trouble shooting guide in the sticky should walk you through the process but in short you quickly try the following:

First test your memory.. Use memtest86+ to verify the memory is operative. Try using one memory stick at a time and try the single sticks in different slots. If one stick of memory fails in all slots, then its almost certainly a RAM problem. If the working RAM stick works in one slot but not another, then this is certainly going to be a memory controller problem which is located on the motherboard for IB platform.

Check that the memory is set correctly i.e. Frequency, VDIMM (should be around 1.65v ) and latency timings. Check the manufacturers website for details.

If your memory looks ok, then you may need to check your PSU:

If you can boot into your system via safe mode, then take a good look at the system dump and Event Manager for clues. Event manager is often overlooked and under estimated.

Thanks I'm on with that at the moment and sure it's ssd as memory is fine ( both sticks passed memtest) but also did it on my z68ap-d3 but not as frequent , psu seems fine and these issues only started after about 1week after I upgraded to ssd, the smart data seems ok but still can't prove it's that, I'm gonna carry on with troubleshooting your guide and also revert back to my raptor and see if it goes away
It seems these drives have many of the same problems

i kept getting error 7a as well, after doing what you have been the last thing i had to try was a new corsair force 3 SSD. I bought another one and the BSOD's stopped so i rma'd it back for a credit.

have you recently updated the bios? it could have been a bad update?

Hi, yes I have recently updated bios but it was doing it before anyway, think I'm gonna have to rma it
