This might sound funny but my sister recently got a new tattoo;

hmmm.jpg

According to her it's chinese for "angel", but to me it doesnt look like chinese or Kanji... I'm no expert though, maybe its the wrong way up or something, just wondering if my sister got a tattoo and doesnt know what it says.

Anyone can confirm what lettering is being used and what it does say.

And sources people... Ik now what you guys are like :P

There are lots of dialecs of Chinese, so it could mean Angel, or it could mean something else. Best ask a Chinese person ;)

That seriously doesn't look like any chinese I've ever seen and I had a chinese gf for 5 years :)

Still... I could be completely wrong !!
Fingers crossed that your sis hasn't just scarred herself for no good reason :D

I hope you know that you have that upside down, and its a word that goes with another usually to make the words like God, Spirit, higher beings, angel...etc

Why would he take a picture of it upside down? Think his sister might have a really bad tattoo.

It's not the first time i've seen upside down chinese characters tattoos. There's not much to say really, do you tell them or not ? :confused:

If it is upside down, and the picture was taken that way, and the OP took the picture - what kind of position would allow that shot to be taken? :eek:

Good question. If they care so little as to actually find out for sure what they're putting on their bodies then they can't be that bothered I guess. I'd feel like a right knobwit personally.

Hmmm yup, I couldn't recognize the character at all until I finally realized that it was upside down :eek:

In Japanese its read "Sen" but I'm not sure what kind of meaning it has. You only really see it in place names or surnames here now.

You like F.I.R? :D

Definitely not a word when read upside down. Good valiant effort though for trying. :p
