Help with choosing Case

Hi

I'm looking to build my first gaming PC. I'll hold off on asking about specs until haswell comes out.

I am looking to use my living room TV as the monitor to save space and money so was hoping to put the PC on a shelf within the TV cabinet. The shelf dimensions are 475mm wide, 200mm high and 380mm deep.

I found this case: Silverstone Milo ML03 HTPC Case - Black (SST-ML03B)
Which looks like it should fit. Would this be ok? Would i need a small PSU and MoBo?

You'd need a m-ATX board (ITX would work fine also) and it looks like it fits a standard power supply. It mentions low profile expansion slots though, so I'd be worried about trying to fit a dedicated graphics card inside.

Problem would be that you will be severely limited to what gpu you can use as they will have to be low profile. Check out the GD03. Still requires MATX board but can utilise full height cards/psu. Loads of room in it as well as 2 x sortof hotswap hdd drive bays full size optical etc. Even comes with a lockable front to keep little fingers away from it

It says it can accept 9" graphics card. It looks like it only has 1 fan but no space to fit others. Would 450w psu be enough?

Most modern graphics are bigger then 9 in some I think even go upto 13 inch AVG is about 11 inche

Thanks for the info. Looks like i might have to spend a bit more on a case than i wanted to, to fit in the space i have. I've found another case which can take 12.2" graphic cards.

You need to bear in mind that cables also consume some of the depth to, once you have DVI/VGA/HDMI hooked up, plus the power cables, usb etc, you'll likely lose some of the depth you have.

Just a consideration to be made is all.

Thanks for all the replies everyone. i think im getting a better idea of what i need. Its just a cheap flat pack tv stand so i dont mind opening the back of the shelf up if i need to make more room. There is plenty of room behind the stand. I may do this anyway to help with airflow.
