Hi I'm trying to get cod ghosts to work on my pc for some reason it keeps freezing on the loading screen. I get a error message saying my computer is running low on memory. Any ideas why I'm getting this message?

My pc spec is

Msi z68a gd65 intel z68
I7 2600k
Gtx 780 evga classified
120gb ssd
1tb hdd
8th Kingston ram
Corsair enthusiast tx850w
Corsair h100

Mine pretty much doesn't play. When it does it crashes the pc and I gotta restart it. You're most likely better leaving it about 6 months and cross your fingers it'll work.

When I have managed to play it, it's horrific. More dolphins than sea world.

Mines is the same to can't play it unless the graphics is turned away down which makes it look like **** and I'd be better playing it on a ps3.

I have tried turning every program of then running it but I still get the same message.

£40 for this is a joke

there is a program out there somewhere that reduces the memory usage of CoD considerably. i cant remember what bugs it brings or what its called, but it shouldnt be too hard to find.

My suspicion from what I can make out of various videos is that the devs have taken PC porting to a whole new level of laziness and simply didn't make a memory manager for the PC version. They seem to have used what some developers use for testing their game during the earlier parts of development, which is to allocate considerably more memory than is necessary and not to bother with any complex memory manager systems. i could be totally wrong, but it certainly looks that way since there are youtube videos proving that ~1/2 of the RAM CoD allocates does absolutely nothing

I've see people talking about that program but think its for people that only have like 4gb ram so that they can play it as the game needs 6gb of ram to operate suppose it wouldn't hurt to try it and see what happens.

no, thats been fixed by one of the patches. Runs fine on 4 now.

Not sure which program that you are talking about then I haven't seen it I've been looking all over the interment for a fix and can't find one :(. My grind has more aless the same setup as me apart from he games at 1080p and I'm 1200p and it works fine for him

Fair enough. as I said I dont have the game so I'm trying to remember fixes i've heard about.

have you tried changing the games priority in the task manager to normal? I remember that used to fix a lot of problems but it may have been patched

Yeah I've tried that to but with no luck

£40+ for a COD game that they couldn't even be bothered to make properly.

The gaming industry must be one of the few industries where if a product doesn't work then people just ignore it.

If you went out and bought a watch and found it didn't work would you just keep it in the wardrobe?

This is why I never pre order except for known titles from companies who have a proven record.

Pre ordering imo is slowing destroying gaming, hardly anyone releases demos these days, especially for the AAA games.

I got the error message once about running low on memory despite having 8gb, it recommended turning the Aero thing off in Win7, which I did.
