Hi all,
I’m hoping someone here can help with a computer issue I’m suffering with the PC I purchased from overclockers December 2014
Everything was working fine to my knowledge until the internet connection failed with the TP link card TL-WDN4800 stopped being detected.
I then went to try the Mobo Ethernet socket which failed to work.
As it was only a fiver I also bought a PCIE TP-link TG 3468 ethernet socket board. This failed to work or even be detected after the first time inserted.
Currently I’m having to use a USB-ethernet adaptor which tells me the USB 3.0 socket is only functioning as a USB 2.0
As I say this was all working ‘to my knowledge , I’d had no reason to check mobo Ethernet socket or USB 3.0 sockets before the TP-Link problem.
I’ve updated all motherboard drivers with latest I could find from gigabyte and tried the drivers which came with each product and the windows selected drivers.
Do I have a faulty motherboard or could there be other drivers or issues or settings I’m missing?
Do I have two separate problems here with USB 3.0 and the network connections or is it all linked?
Feel free to speak slowly and treat me as not very computer literate!
As a new dad all time with the computer is ‘stolen’ so please allow time for me to respond and try any fixes..
