Hello good folk, please are any of you very experienced people who have reversed the side panel fan of an RC1100 case. Should have researched but my grandson wanted case and components. The problem I have with a P6TD Deluxe Mobo i7 930 cpu with the new NH-14 CPU cooler from Noctua and, ofcourse it hits the side fan. athank you in advance.

You could try and mod the side fan to the outside of the case like the the one in the thread below that looks easy to do.

or if your not too comfortable with modding stuff, then you could just buy a new side panel for this case that has a window instead of the fan, therefore eliminating the CPU cooler touching the fan problem.

If you would prefer just to spend a little money on a side panel, then I know somewhere you can get one from in the UK but I would need your email addy to give you the url address of the place as there are no competitor links allowed to be posted here.

Hi there, I helped my friend built a PC with this case and he ran into the same problem with the similarly large Prolimatech Megahalems CPU cooler.

What we did was remove the panel and fan, then replace it with a sprayed black piece of polycarbonate. In the end it looked great from the outside and didn't require much time or skill. Here is his build gallery, the first few show the mod to the side panel.

However, as you say going for the Corsair H50 would negate this problem, provide good cooling and not require any modding.
