Help with Custom Build PC

Haha no worries pal, if you don't mind spending the extra ££ on the Asus go for it :D Haha

Both very nice IPS panels either way - Asus' build quality is nice, but AOC panels have come along way and do some good stuff these days too.

But if your wallet's hurting, go for the AOC it's a good choice.

Okay, my *hopefully* last query - HP Omen 25 full HD 144Hz LED Gaming monitor? Retails at £219, but I think I can get a discount code for it, so ~£200

The HP Omen only has a TN panel, compared to the Asus and AOC mentioned both have IPS panels.

IPS have much better colour reproduction (more vibrant and accurate) along with better viewing angles over TN. TN panels have slightly better response times, but I doubt you'd notice it in the real world.

Edit: There's nothing 'wrong' with either or really... TN, IPS, VA they all have pros/cons. My Dell S2719DGF is a TN panel and it looks great. But using my friend's AOC IPS I noticed it has slightly more vibrant colours that pop.

Ah okay, I see! Didn’t pick up on that, if I’m honest - I definitely would prefer IPS. Okay, thanks!

Edit: Oh your Dell was TN? Would you say it would be regrettable to get it now that you’ve seen the better visuals via IPS?

No not at all, I still really like my Dell monitor. It's 1440p and very crisp, good quality, nice colours.

Just IPS has a slightly different finish, so gives you a different look. You can get some TNs that are almost as good as IPS.

Just get whichever display you're happy to part cash with :P I'm not keen on that HP Omen though, I'd go for the AOC or Asus tbh :p
