help with dual monitors

anyways got my 7870 into my rig working nicely but i cannot set up my dual monitors

i have a 23" and a 19" running via vga cables with DVI adapters and on my old gtx560 i set it up easily, but my 7870 doesn't recognise a second monitor for some reason..

i have tried windows properties and catalyst control centre but nothing....

Can you connect without VGA? Not sure if that's the issue, but that's what I'd try first.

the dvi ports are:

SL DVI-D
DL DVI-I

Dvi-d is digital only, can't send vga through it (analogue). You would need an active dvi to VGA converter.

VGA only works on your first port.
Second monitor would need to be connected with a DVI cable. Or as suggested a converter if your neither of your monitors support DVI connections.

One of your ports doesnt have the pins for analogue. It wont work with DVI. Do you have a Mini display port or full size display port on the card?

You can get Mini DP > VGA adaptors, thought OcUK Don't sell them. I would get one of those and then use the one DVI port that works.

Ebay ones say mac only... Would one of them work??
