^^ thats not mine but yes im using asus ez flash 2. if u see above in the picture it finds A,C,D,E paths .

For me it finds only A and C. (yes im using usb drive) so i cant flash it as it does not find my E drive/path(usb drive).

Now i dont know why it can not find it so im asking u what can i do about it or am i doing something wrong here

I think the system needs to be powered off for the USB flash drive to be detected properly, at least it does that sometimes. So power off, plug in USB stick, power up and it should be fine.

My Flash drive defaults to A:\ in that menu as I have my floppy disabled, have you tried switching through all the drives listed?

well tried disabling floppy still no luck. i would do it trough C path but when i press on it it says loading directory and then nothing comes up. were do u have to actually place your ROM in C ?

Hi, mine was placed inside a directory, but you can have it in the root. Are you sure the file is unzipped and has the correct name?
Chris

aye it was fat but it reminded me that it only reads fat 32/16 so it working perfectly now bios updated cheers chris

by power off do you mean actually remove powerlead so no power to board, or just shutdown so there is still power to the board?

Just shut down (as in soft-off). I've only had to do this once as normally the BIOS see's the flash drive but machine may require a restart! :)

God i'm terrified of bios updates, the only time i tried was with an asus board, it seemed to go through fine, but the motherboard wouldnt let the computer boot again ever afterwards...:S

Yeah I guess a BIOS update is the one thing that can b0rk a good motherboard, for the most part the ASUS EZ-Flash 2 feature makes the whole process quite easy! :)
