Help with graphic card Fan

My graphics card will spin at full completely randomly when just idle on desktop or playing games. It will then stop for a while then start again. The temps don't change much at all low 30s C. I've had no problems with it other then this random thing that started a few weeks ago, and its now starting to get really annoying and i cant figure out how to fix it. I did clean a lot of dust of it recently maybe something went wrong when i put it back in.

Its a HD 5770 btw

Try the card in another PC if you can. See if the same thing happens.

could drivers be causing this i am starting to think it started when i upgraded them to 11. I do not have any other pc to test it or i would have.

Suppose they could. Worth trying a reinstall of drivers.

yea just did it and still happening so not that, the random element is driving me crazy

what are you using to monitor the fan speed?

have you tried a custom fan profile in msi afterburner?
if not, download it and set it up, that way you can control the fan speed yourself.
