Help!
I need to upgrade my computer from an IGP to a new graphics card - not sure what to get? I have an available AGP slot.
Current system is:
Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3.0GHz
896MB RAM (2x512MB) PC3200 DDR
Motherboard ASUS P4R800-V Deluxe 1.XX
Bus clock 200MHz
IGP Graphics Radeon 9100

I can't afford a new system!!
Not looking for fantastic graphics - something that would be suitable for COD4 or similar?
Would something like the ASUS ATI Radeon HD3650 512MB DDR2 be ok?
Any help appreciated.

And get a new system.

He speaks the truth

It would be much smarter to do a budget new build for say 400/500 then speeding 100 on a dead systeam.

However if you want a new card theres only one choice, last agp card made :(3850

Whats your psu also.

I would also get 2gb of ram for it although the board supports 4gb its not worth it on a dead systeam ;)

ram

Welcome to the forums :)

Out of touch with agp cards but you will need to upgrade to 2gigs of ram if possible to play cod4 properly with a decent card.

Would also help if you could say what resolution you will be playing at and how much you are willing to spend.

Thanks for the advice.
I have a HEC-385AD-PT PSU (385W).
Looking to spend aboutr £150 in total or, as you say, it is more cost effective to buy a new system!
Not sure about resolution - whatever works!
My internet speed is only about 1 gig as well so on-line gaming is driven by line speed not graphics.
