So I’ve recently installed a new Hue light. Purchased some Hue Wall Switch Modules, and now stuck with the wiring of these.

Is anyone clued up on their wiring? :)

Here’s my switch,
The left button is to control the downstairs light, but the right is part of a 2-Way switch that controls the landing light.

Ideally I’d like to connect both to the module.

Thanks for any pointers.

I don’t think it will work with the two way switch will it?

Your left one you’d need to get a Wago connector (does it
Come with any?)

Connect the black and red together as that will join switch cable and make the light be permanently on and then the hue switch will control it. You’ll need to have that small red wire in the Wago connector too as that’s being used as the common for your two way switch.

You then connect the hue module to the switch where you’ve taken the wires from

You have a switched live so your only chance is to fit it in the ceiling rose or take the switch off entirely iirc. Check out SONOFF if you want it to work inline with the switch iirc...

doesn't look like a lot of space behind that box
yes red - cross linked must be the common permanent live on supply which is powering single way left switch and the common for the spdt switch on the two way lighting
so left cable pair goes to upstairs switch, which is where bulb is connected to, from its spdt common.

hadn't realised the hue modules just monitor the switch state, so you wire the switch terminals directly into hue module, and have to connect/short the original wiring so the supply to the hue bulb is permanently on.
(so you can't use dumb bulbs - I though they'd opened up their system)

sonoff solution only needs one module for two way, but you have to have live and neutral available at the module.

if you hadn't looked - sonoff product wiring -
put it in back of any switch box, and, then have the best of both worlds for £10

so I think you remove ALL the wires and connect wire 1 to 2,3,4 wires so two bulbs are permanently on
and connect hue module to pairs of wires from 1&2 3&5 switch connections
I use chocolate blocks not wago stuff

Thanks for the responses.
The kit comes with 2 3-connector wagos.

Going off jpaul’s numbering, My thought was to connect wires 1 & 2 to one wagos. 3 & 4 to another wagos. Then use the small red wire to connect the first wagos to the second wagos.

I’d then wire the hue module to 1 & 2 and 3 & 5.

Does this sound like it would work?

Yeah that does the same thing and allows you to use what they provided you with
