Hey guys, next weekend im going to get myself a new desk setup from Ikea, from the GALANT series;

I am looking at this desk; http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/S19807470

but the problem is, it doesnt really give you the size of the edges: Length: 200 cm
Width: 160 cm

edges of desks are usually about 60-70cm but it doesnt have anything like that on that page, so I have no idea which desk would be suitable to go next to it because I would like another GALANT plain rectangle desk like this http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/S29806818, but dont know what size to get?

Any ideas?

Isn't it the thickness your looking for which is on the page. Think Galant desks are all 2cm thick

no, the length of the ends, since they are all height adjustable the height isnt a problem. for example the second one length is 80CM, but the first one it says 160CM which obviously isnt right.

On the main desk the end next to the curvy part is 60cm.

The end of the straight part is 80cm.

They do offer an extension piece that is 80x60 so you can attach it on either end.

The desk you showed in the first link looks like a main desk with an 80x60 extension installed on the 60 side (left side in this case).

Also I recommend getting the T legs instead of those ones.

It can get even more confusing because they offer both a "right curve" and a "left curve" main desk.

Correct for the left curve desk. I should have been a bit more careful with my post last night. And I agree about the "T" legs: much better than the paired ones.
