would you be able to recommend one? i dno what connectors it needs so i cant see the specs n choose

cheapest one there is preferably! itll be the last upgrade this pc gets so as long as it can do it

These are the ones you need to connect to your 560Ti. According to your system, the PSU you have only comes with 1xPCiE power adaptor. Didn't your card come with any?

comes with one of...what you linked? nope, i have none, my power supply seems to match this

******.com/61308-casecom-silver-500w-atx-power-supply-20-4pin-atx12v-4x-molex-500watxpsu

but the way its wired atm, it only has 1 sata power cable spare,

i have 2 sata harddrives and 1 disc drive (did have 2 in with a splitter but being split made it fail at burning dvds) all connected with sata, split from the molex i think

no spare cables or adapters anywhere

what i also wanna ask is this actually, if i change the power and sata cables around in an attempt to free up a cable and tidy the case, will this effect anything power wise? how do i know if a hdd isnt receiving enough power? also, if i change the sata port something is connected to, will this change anything?

all too often in my old pc would switching things seem to cause huge problems

The PSU is a pile of rubbish.

I wouldn't trust it to run your system with a GTX 560Ti even if you could free up enough molex connectors required for 2 PCI-E power adapters.

You're going to have to spend around £50 on a new PSU with 2 proper PCI-E power connectors.

If you can't do that then there's no point in getting the card.

Perhaps something like this:

BeQuiet Efficient Power 600W '80 Plus Gold' Power Supply £49.99

A lot of the cheaper PSU's are out of stock at OcUK.

thought so, guess rather then considering a better gfx card cos i have some spare in my budget, guess its psu time

any recommendations?

thanks, assuming that sata 5-pin = sata power supply, this looks perfect, thank you very much

though, would you mind linking to cheaper psu on here even if theyre out of stock? cheers

quick question actually

considering bumping up to this card

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showp...ium=email&utm_source=forums&utm_medium=banner

is it much better? it seems it but i cant really tell, considering it as its 2gb

should basically just post that my budget is £200 but the card needs to be max 9" long as ay bigger wont fit =D

in fact, im only playing on a 22inch, so i wont need it i guess

also, i been reading about and ppl seem to hate palit so ill stick with the asus i suppose!

thanks for any and all help anyway dudes

There's many an argument in this forum about the amount of VRAM.

I suppose having too much is better than not enough.

The size of your screen isn't really relevant.

Basically if it's 1080p it's 1080p whether it's a 22" monitor or a 50" TV.

Looking at the power supplies at OcUK there isn't much less than £50 that I would recommend and is it really worth saving a couple of quid?

There are a few around the £50 mark but I'd say that's the sort of money you're going to have to spend.

I'm no expert on PSU's so perhaps start a thread in General Hardware asking for PSU recommendations to power your current system and the graphics card.

Edit

There's a thread about the PSU I linked above here.
