Hi im needing a bit of help with installing two hard drives. I've bought a 250GB Western Digital Caviar Hard Drive and a Western Digital 36GB Raptor.

I was hoping to install windows and the drivers on the raptor and put all my other programs on the 250GB caviar. I was told this was not possible because games and programs sometimes require access to the windows registry and it cant do that if its on another drive.

Is this true?

The registery entries, certain dlls etc.. will always be on the windows drive, but you can certainly install the program itself to another drive if you wish. It just means if you format the windows drive you may have to reinstall the programs to get them working.

Untrue, i have over 200 gigabytes of games other hdd's than my windows drive, and is all in the registry, and no probs whatsoever, u can instalel games, utility's, etc.. anywhere on your hard drives(s), on any partition and on any disc as long as its plugged in.
