Help with Linksys WAG54GS router

A friend has brought the above router as the linksys wireless usb module

the idea was the use the router on the pc downstairs and the usb module on his upstairs so they can both use the net.

sorted out the downstairs no prob all workd fine

upstairs was easy enough to setup connects and everything just doesnt detect the internet. says connected but no internet was found??? downstairs works fine and the router it connected to the net. Had a go at a few settings to no avail, any help on this matter??. all wont to do is get internet on the wireless module computer

More detail, like the actual error message, would be useful. Output from start, run, cmd, ipconfig /all would be useful too.

i mean in the lynksys control panel thing shows the wireless device connected to the router no prob, which it is (this is from the wireless computer) but instead of internet connectoin found it says no internet connection found and doesnt show the picture of the world and computer linked lol. the router is set up right and connected to the net, downstairs is fine, prob just some setting i guess

Using encryption? Checked you're using the right key?
