I have bought these today SpeedLink Medusa SL-8793 5.1 ProGamer Edition (SP-026-SL) , everything seems to be fine and good quality, but the only thing is that i have an Audigy 2zs, and the vibration will work only if i plug the subwoofer cable into either where the rear or the front cables should be, but this then causes the speakers to response wrong to the surround sound system, like the rear doesnt sound where the rear should be, howerver if i plug in the subwoofer into the subwoofer and the rest normal, i get perfect surround sound system, please help i would like to have the vibration and the surround sound ;)

thanks in advance

Maybe they mean check you've got the Audigy 2 on 5.1 speakers? Other than that the only setting that could be relevant to your problem is bass redirection, which is off by default and should be off for the medusas. You certainly can't change which channels use which jack.

So many people seem to have problems getting the bass to work right on the medusas. They always worked fine for me (also on Audigy 2 ZS).

Sorry but my Medusas are packed away in their box and my camera is terrible anyway. It's pretty straight forward though, the inputs on the amp are labelled and the Audigy 2 manual (the electronic one on the CD) tells you what the outputs on the soundcard are. This shows the back of the card-

First output next to firewire port is centre/sub, next is rears, third is fronts. Just connect front to front, rear to rear and centre to centre. Then set soundcard to 5.1.
