Help with modding my motherboard

[Things change I've changed]

I have an intel badaxe motherboard, what I want to do is unlock the extra options in the bios so that I can up the voltage on my E6300, I had a look at a guild online and it's says that I have to join the following dots up as they have been joind in the picture below, has anybody on here done this and is it safe to do ?



I don't have a conductive pen so I was thinking to use a small blob of solder to join them, sound ok ?

i think i remember reading that some people have solderd pins on there so they can use jumpers.
