Hello. Currently I have a AMD 6000+ being cooled by the Swiftech H20-220 compact kit. This is a pump/block combo and a rad/res combo

At the moment all is great with this. very cool, very quiet.
What I would like to do next is water cool the graphics cards.
I have 2 GTX 260's (one being the 65nm and one being the 55nm)

After looking at full cover blocks etc. I have decided that i would like to go with the Swiftech MCW60R VGA block. I know this block only covers the GPU chip itself. So how will i go about cooling the RAM and VRMs on the graphics card?

I was thinking of getting the Swiftech GTX260 HeatSink. but as far as I can see this only fits the 65nm version of the 260GTX. Also I cant find anywhere that stocks it. And even if I did, what am I to do about cooling the 55nm version.

Also, I believe I am right in thinking that the Dual rad wont be able to keep up with the extra heat. I have no room to add another loop. And no room to add a extra Rad. So I think my best option will be to get a Triple Rad. I was going to go with the Swiftech MCR320-Res. As this would serve as a Res like my current Rad.

Have you used this Rad? How does it fair up? Do you think a separate Res and Rad would be better? What is the best Triple rad I could get that could cool 2 GPU's and a CPU? Also if i did go for the separate Res. What is the best drive-bay Res?

Thank you.

Swiftech do some MC14s for the VGA RAM chips, but I prefer the Enzotech ones because they have better thermal tape as the Swiftech ones do fall off.

Enzotech also do low profile ones to stick on the RAM chips under the MCW60 barbs as the taller ones are blocked by the barbs themselves.

As for the VREG's - Enzotech do some mini sinks, not sure how effective these would be.

I've been out of the hardware loop for some time, but I know the ATi VREG's get insanely hot but not sure about 260s. Don't thermalright do some sets of VREG and RAM sinks to use with their GPU core heat sinks?

Might want check those out.

I buy my screws from a seller called boltme (I think this is their username) on eBay.

I'm sure the Swiftech rads are pre-tapped but I'm not sure what size - so machined screws will be fine, just be careful with what lenght you buy else you could puncture the core.

I buy 35mm long screws for my radiators, but this is to go through a fan grill, case, fan filter, fan and then into rad.

Swiftech radiators are very popular as they offer good performance for money ratio. I've been out of the hardware loop for some time now so I'm not sure how much heat AMD processors or 260s generate.

I think the 240 radiator would cope with some good fans, depends how quiet and cool you want it to be.

I had to import my Swiftech Caldera GTX200 series heatsinks from the US and they are very good, but you need a fan on them or the VRMs are not cooled properly.

If I was doing it again, I would get the D-Tek ones as they are far better tied into the GPU block so the coverplate gets some cooling from teh water as well.

Swiftech and D-Tek both make versions for both the 65nm and 55nm versions, you just need a 285 cover for the 55nm version.

Thank you for all the advice everyone... would you be able to link me to the exact screws you get please Mekrel? I've had a quick look on ebay and cant find the seller you are on about
