i've currently got the stock cooler for my QX6700 (LGA775), but i think its time i got something better.

i've got a coolermaster stacker 832, and i have the interior door fan panel installed with 2 fans in it, which reduces the amount of space i have for a tall cooler (see pic).

the mobo is a EVGA nForce 680 (Socket 775), which has a big passive cooler right under the cpu mount, which could get in the way of a cooler.

also, i don't want to have to remove the mobo to fit a new cooler, so i think maybe i need the freezer 7 pro, which looks like it should fit (as far as i know this can be installed without removing the mobo).

do i have any other options. if you've got a stacker 832 or 830, can you let me know what you're using (and pics would be great), and please let me know if you have the fan door bit installled or not.

cheers

hmm, the more i look at all the coolers, and my mobo and case, the more i think i am struggling here. i think the freezer 7 pro will foul the passive cooler in the middle of my mobo, and probably any other biggish cooler i buy.

A Freezer 7 Pro might fit, if not you can always bend or cut out the fins that get in the way of the northbridge heatsink, I got a P5N-E and I had to bend 3 fins slightly at the bottom of my Freezer 7 Pro to fit it (my intel heatsink was about 2mm off touching the northbridge heatsink). And I'd say it will fit with the fan that would be above it placed somewhere else in the frame, I got a Thermaltake Soprano with a fan on the side window and I got a good 5cm (probably a bit more) clearance between the top of the Freezer 7 and my side fan.
