Hello Chaps,
I bought one of the OcUK 8800GTX cards this week, installed it and it works fine in XP.
But within 5 minutes or so of playing games I get a kind of short whistle and the machine shuts down followed a few seconds later by a restart.
My mate says it might be the psu not being powerful enough, but although it is a 700w and has 2 pci-e connectors it is a cheapy make
so he could be right.
Anyway, rather than spending money on a new psu which might not be the problem, can I use a molex to pci-e adapter cable in 1 of the sockets on the GTX as well as the psu connector (these - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CB-018-AK) or would it be better to use 2 of these cables???
Thanks a lot guys for the help!!!!
