Help with overclock please :)

Hi Guys,

Please can you help. Currently running i7 9700K with Asus Rog Strix Z 390F MB.

Machine is stable at stock but struggles with racing sims when there are a lot of cars on the grid. I popped into the bios and noticed there was an automatic EZ tuning tool. I set that to optimum and it ran fine for a while. However I started to get blue screens, so I reverted back to original settings.

Can any one suggest the best stable settings for this hardware please. Also the fan I have is a Be Quiet Dark Rock PRO 4 with Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut Thermal Paste.

PSU is Corsair RMX650.

Use more voltage. Your best bet is to look for a 9700k overclocking guide. But i think its more a graphics card problem than cpu download msi afterburner and overclock gpu

Look up a rog z390 overclocking guide. Even if the board and cpu in the guide aren't an exact match it almost certainly will be the same process to overclock.

However it might not solve your issue as the stock 9700K is one of the best gaming CPUs available.

What RAM are you using and is it running in XMP?
