Hi guys,

First of all I want to say thank you for the help with my previous thread as I am extremely happy with the build I received.

After seeing my new build my brother wanted one the same but with one of the newer Nvidia cards.

He has a Monitor/Keyboard/Mouse/Speakers etc

It would just need the OS.

He will primarily be using it for gaming (Witcher 3 / Star Citizen / ETC) as he streams a lot on Twitch and does some video editing.

He has a budget of £1200 but could possibly go a little higher (£1300)

I'm using a midi tower case and he likes the compactness.

Any help with this is much appreciated!

I've just sent the build over to him now Danny75, thanks for the quick response!

He asked me to spec my PC with the 1080 as the card instead.

I've sent him the build below (which is my current minus the 1080) but it does go over his budget by a few hundred pounds. Is there any way of bringing the price down but not reducing the quality by a significant amount?

I've added the wireless card as he said he might keep it at his girlfriends who lives in a shared place.

Don't know - do you stream and render as much as him? Because otherwise you could go with Skylake i5/i7 which are slightly better for gaming, and give your 5820K and board to him which is overall better for streaming and rendering. I would go for a better cooler with a 5820K. That's cutting it close/limiting your OC potential.

What monitor does he have anyway?

To be honest the only way he's going to save money on this build is by coming down from a 1080 to a 1070 or otherwise go for a much cheaper cpu and motherboard bundle. Everything else is pretty inexpensive.

Maybe look at the I5 6400 bundle as a cheaper alternative?

We had a good chat earlier and he has agree'd that a 1070 will be more than fine.

I do it a lot more than him at the moment. He has only very recently got into the swing of things and I am greedy haha.

He is currently using 1 x Asus MX279H and I am using 2 of these.

We have both agree'd on this build :

Just before we go ahead and order it if someone could give it a once over just to make sure everything seems ok.

Thanks for all the help guys, I'm glad a friend of mine pointed me in the direction of this Forum.
