Help with setting up a computer

Ah sorry, I miss read VM as VRM !!!! The not cores you have the better , but if cores are strong you can get away with less. Guessing the whole Intel Vs AMD at the mo, one has very strong IPC and IMC , lower core count but faster and more expensive , other has more threads, cheapest and IPC isn't far behind and core speed catching up

Its pretty hard to draw any conclusions about which would be better without knowing the workloads the VMs will present.
All we know for sure is that it will also be used for playing games.
