Hi guys,

A friend of mine is training to be a pilot and wants to build a machine to run MS Flight simulator 2012. He has a budget of around £400, could anyone help out with ideas?

Sorry to be a pain but I have no idea what represents good bang for your buck at this price range, everything I try and build comes in way over budget...

Cheers

Need os / monitor / joystick etc?

Not that i'm too good at building specs for people, but it's what the others who are will ask :)

You'll get the hang of it, once you learn which components are decent for what types of price range. Always good to have a little look into them as well, little features which may be included on some etc.

Its a little over and you will have to use the iGPU but this game loves raw CPU horsepower!!! and for that reason you can't really go wrong with the Intel Core i5 4670K at a later date he could get a graphics card and aftermarket cooler.

With the cooler he could then overclock the CPU to get even more POWERRRR in the words of Clarkson.
