Hey, im currently wanting to build my first pc and after weeks of wondering what would be best for me and ideal for my tiny office i decided to look at smaller builds just to see if they can pack a punch these days and i was amazed at some of the options available now.
I came up with this spec but am looking for other peoples opinions, it will only be used for internet/music/spreadsheets (and word etc.)/and light gaming (sims 3, some mmorpg's, things like playing crysis on medium would be a bonus though). My main concerns are if everything will fit and work aswell as to keep it cool 'n' quiet and also if the stock cooler on the cpu will be sufficient for slight overclocking (never done it before), and also if the 300w psu is sufficient to run everything.

Some PSUs that come bundled with SFF barebones/cases are quite powerful. But I'd check the (PSU) specs to be certain, i.e. 28A or more on +12V Rail & good-to-go :)

The only catch with a SFF build is upgradability especially if you want say a beefier GFX or more HDs.

Recommend the ATI 4670 over 4770 because its a single slot card & actually available (the latter has reported stock issues).

Get this HD instead for reasons mentioned above.

Hi there, nice spec.

If you want to keep the CPU cool- you may want to try this CPU cooler, it has been proven to fit in the sugo case.

The e5200 setup looks very nice and should perform cool and well. However, you may want to have a look at an AMD option - as with the release of their new 45nm dual cores they beat intel e5200s and are also 65W. One motherboard that looked promising was a "J&W 780-SP128MB AM2+"

Iv read that it has 22A on +12V rail but iv heard of many people using 4850's without any problems, so surely a 4770 would be ok? If you think otherwise please let me know, im new to this and dont want a dead pc within a few days :(
I also dont upgrade very often and for my needs this would probably last a few years and then id simply build another, so il probably wait for the 4770 to come in stock over the 4670 although i will opt for the larger hard drive :)

Without overclocking would i really need a cooler other then the stock cooler? I would like to try overclocking although im not sure if this is the best build to practice on with the psu being so small and having to run all this as it is.
That board looks good although i cant find it in stock anywhere, at about £20 less then the zotac is it worth spending the few extra pennies? Would i notice much of a difference in graphics performance as the J&W pcie x16 slot is only x4?
Finally, im assuming you mean the athlon II x2 250 as this has 45nm and 65w whereas the phenom II x2 550 has 45nm but 85w?
