Help with upgrading RAM

Hey guys this might seem like a stupid question but i'm no expert on CL for RAM.

The Story:
I currently have 3GB of OCZ platinum edition RAM it is 1866MHz DRR3 and triple channel its CL is 9-9-9-27. I would like more RAM unfortunatly OCZ only sell this RAM in the 6GB version now they have discontinued my 3GB version and by doing so the price has gone from £50 for the 3GB version to £115 - £130 for the 6GB version.

What I want to know:
Basically I dont want to spend £115 on upgrading my RAM. I've seen that OC have this RAM http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-174-OC Please disregard the price as I've seen a 3GB version of this elsewhere for around £50. I was wondering if it would work as it has a different CL but same speeds.

Mixed RAM with different speeds and latemcy will work but at the slowest module speed and sometimes this has to be configured manually otherwise you most likely get BSODS.

In my opinion, latency is less important than the speed and others little if no performance gain.
