help with warhead stuck and guides no help

Right i'm getting rather miffed now i've flown through the game right up until the point were you collect the PAX from the downed plane after that i just get pwned i've tried following guides to finish it but it just ain't happening that big orange 4 legged thing fires these balls at me and it's game over

i know this ain't a games help forum but someone please give me some advice before i hit that uninstall button :p
 
Took me a LOT of tries to kill that thing.

IIRC I picked up the new weapon killed off the few smaller aliens with it then got in a jeep and drove to the right of the runway where there was a building? I used that as cover and blew it to bits.

thanx i'll give it a try later great game BTW only started playing it the other day
 
You dont need to use cover at all, use the speed option on your suit and strafe using the max speed and use the plasma gun thing at max range. The giant alien thing wont even get a shot on you using this tactic. If you stay behind cover and time it wrong you can get creamed by it, especially on higher difficulty levels
 
I got trhe gun as said, killed all the little ones and then walked up the left side of the runway.

If you keep walking along the left there are some big piles of sanbags. These are about man heoght and perfect for standing behind. Strafe out from behind, hit it twice and strafe back behind before the enemy fire hits around you. Rinse and repeat a lot. It took ages to kill the thing!
 
thx for your help i finished it now. i eventually took out the smaller guys one by one then worked over that big orange exosuit :) ending was a bit poor tho IMO

i suppose it wasnt the best ending ever, but it was somewhat restricted by the plot of crysis :p
 
You tend to get hit if you use cover, the balls go so slowly and from so high up they aren't going to crash into anything.

PAX from max range (hard to tell sometimes because it explodes whether it hits or not) then let the balls come until they almost have you then max speed your ass away. Walk back and repeat.
