Hi

I need a little help

I am about to upgrade my water cooling setup but want to keep my rads (nexxxos xtreme1.2 +1.1) and cpu block (nexxxos xp pro) I really just want to add 1/2 id tubing and a new pump and res.

My question is what connectors do I need I know it's g14 to 1/2 barbs but not sure on the thread (bspt or the other one)?.

Also is the laing d4 good enough to push 1/2" tube and is res size actually important or is it more like a fill port used just to make bleeding/filling easier?

Thanks in advance for the help guys and gals

G1/4 is a parallel thread and is exactly the same as 1/4" BSPP.
Danger Den now use G1/4 on their newer components, their perfect seal and hi-flow barbs are very good and have a larger internal bore than the generic barbs.

D4 is powerful, older models were whiney although a newer quieter version has been released. D5 or DDC/DDC+ with plexi-top are good alternatives.

A larger res size won't increase performance, a res is usually easier to fill/bleed than a t-line but it depends on how the loop is positioned.

Yeah. Um, stick to the HighFlow G1/4 DD barbs... PerfectSeals have a marked, negative impact on flow.

HighFlows are good stuff tho :)
