help with wifi solution

Hi all first post here and im a complete computer novice

my current wifi set:
sky router in living room - cat 6 connection to poe switch in loft

cat 6 from there to a ubiqiuiti poe access point in landing and one cable down to the garage.

I want to get better wifi in the garage (next to patio) with ethernet ports from whatever device i use, so I can run a wired connection to run a bike training set up.

whats the best way of doing this? ive seen in wall ubiquiti access points with ethernet out for around £100. is it possible to do it cheaper? ie wireless router? if so could someone explain the process baring in mind i have a sky q hub

Sounds like a longer version of what I currently have.
I have my vodafone router connected to my old router because of better parental controls, because of that I now have 2 wi-fi (2x 5ghz, 2x2,4ghz)

Most routers have a dedicated WAN port (or a specific one to use as a WAN port)

Connect your feed into the garage into a wireless router and set it up (as I needed control rather than extension mine is set to dynamic ip and not bridge mode)

This setup does pose NAT issues as the new router would be separate domain, My main router is 192.168.1.1 and my second router is 192.168.0.1 and my devices don't like working across them, so for my DLNA server everything that needs to access that needs to be all connected to 1 router.

So as long as internet access is all that is needed then boom.
If I remember properly I can setup the wifi on the second and select bridge mode which keeps all devices on the same subnet but then I loose all control of the settings on the second router. (it becomes inaccessable and I need to reset the router to make changes so if you want to do this then save your settings each time so that they can be loaded up again if you need to change something)

If you’re going Ubiquiti you may as well just get an in-wall. UAP-AC-IW is the equivalent of a UAP-AC-Lite but it has two Ethernet ports as well. Just screw a surface-mount patten box in the wall (>35mm deep) and mount the access point to that. And you get magically fabulous WiFi in the garage plus two 1GbE Ethernet ports.

i looked at these. my garage is brick wall though and the ethernet in is designed for rear entry. not sure how id get the cable going in if its flush to the wall. do ubiquiti do any other devices that have data ports out too?

35mm patten box mounts on the wall, then you feed the cable into that. The plug the cable into the access point and screw it to the patten box. Doesn’t look amazingly pretty but it’s only going in the garage.
